The Role

IBISWorld is looking for an innovative, driven individual with experience in developing digital marketing campaigns to help us expand our brand and customer base. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for strategizing and executing digital marketing campaigns targeted for our core audiences with the goal of driving website traffic and sales leads. You will use content created by the Marketing Copyeditor and SEO recommendations from the web team to execute campaigns across multiple platforms, including email, social media and online advertising. In addition to personally conducting various research, you will collaborate with other internal stakeholders to develop the most effective campaigns. You will be required to use marketing automation software and our CRM system to manage the campaigns, nurture leads and track results.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and report on website performance and conversions for IBISWorld and ProcurementIQ website properties, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Use Google Analytics to capture key site performance metrics to measure, test and improve our website conversion rate, and promote a good user experience.
  • Project manage any changes or updates to company websites; write business cases for new features and functionality; then work with IT and Marketing stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Work with the Marketing team to identify ways to increase website traffic and move users through the web journey as easily as possible to convert visitors to leads and/or customers.
  • Work with Content team to implement on-site SEO best practices; generate valuable SEO insights to guide content strategies and execution.
  • Work with developers to ensure technical SEO best practices are adhered to when developing IBISWorld and ProcurementIQ websites.
  • Monitor Google Analytics, Google AdWords and other tools daily to identify potential SEO issues and also provide detailed SEO performance reports related to traffic, keyword ranking, and other relevant KPIs.
  • Report on monthly web sales volumes and trends.
  • Manage Search Engine Marketing (SEM) budget and report on ROI of SEM spend; optimize SERPs, and identify ways improve quality scores to lower CPCs.
  • Stay up to date on the latest search engine updates and develop strategies based on new opportunities and industry changes.
  • Effectiveness of campaigns in generating leads to the business; ability to report on results and track ROI
  • Increase traffic to website as well as the conversion of traffic to inbound and online sales



  • 3+ years of B2B website development management, with web analytics, site optimization tools, methods and testing
  • Strong quantitative orientation (must love spreadsheets)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and can proactively develop enhancements and projects on time with minimal managerial guidance
  • Innovation in bringing ideas to the table for campaigns and approaches to assignments
  • Natural affinity for website UX/UI
  • Highly organized and autonomous, but also collaborative and able to work cross-functionally
  • Comfortable and energized operating in a fast-paced environment; passionate about the product and seeks continuous improvement
  • Experience developing AND using Google Analytics to inform decisions
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP preferred, but not essential
  • High proficiency in SEO analytics, technical SEO, testing and optimization such as: Google/Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, Moz, Google Trends, Keyword Planner, onsite search etc.
  • Good understanding of technical aspects of SEO including: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, URL structures, keyword analysis, content optimization, search engine spiders, sitemaps, indexes and algorithms
  • Proven experience managing organic acquisition efforts including SEO programs and conversion rate optimization projects is preferred
  • Flexibility to effectively deal with unexpected assignments and changes to workload based on management priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication with peers and management
  • Positive working relationships with internal stakeholders
