The Role

We are seeking an energetic Senior Client Relationship Manager (CRM) with proven track record of success in account management, inside sales, client service or similar job roles.  You will manage and grow an existing book of business.   You will provide proactive service to ensure that we assist clients in using our data to help their businesses succeed and will be responsible for all account management activities.

You will liaise with business owners, managers and procurement departments to renew client contracts and will maximize revenue growth by uncovering new opportunities and by pursuing areas where other IBISWorld products meet the client's needs.  This full-time position is based in our New York, NY office located at 40 Wall Street.

Reporting to the Client Service Division Manager, you will:

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of clients with the goal of implementation, adoption and client retention using sales processes and Account Management techniques
  • Use a consultative approach with clients through needs analysis to identify pain points, define strategic initiatives and match IBISWorld market research products accordingly
  • Field and satisfy incoming queries, issues and day to day needs of your clients as they arise
  • Identify at risk Clients, and work with Management to develop and execute action plans to secure renewal and prospect opportunities for development within existing account
  • Achieve KPIs and expectations including but not limited to:
    • > Renewal %
    • > Upgrades
    • > Monthly active usage metrics
    • > Gainsight utilization
  • Project manage customer implementation by working closely with internal Departments such as Sales, Production, Marketing, and IT as needed.
  • Drive usage and adoption throughout client organizations through the adoption of product features and mobilization of key stakeholder groups to maximize the customer’s goals
  • Advocate for the ongoing needs and goals of the client internally - gathering feedback from customers and understanding where they are now, and how we may help them achieve goals.
  • Drive recurring revenue by demonstrating sustainable value for customers and fostering long-term relationships with IBISWorld across renewal cycles
  • Identify and close opportunities for client expansion and revenue growth within assigned portfolio to maintain results aligned with revenue targets, and make up lost revenue
  • Develop knowledge through internal and external trainings, management coaching and self-learning
  • Collaborate with other CRMs, Management and the unit VP to build a thriving department and foster the overall success of IBISWorld and the clients we serve

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • 5 years+ experience in Customer Success, Sales, Client Relationship Management, or Account Management required
  • Proven experience in managing complex revenue opportunities, and the ability to drive opportunities with multiple stakeholders forward
  • Ability to engage with clients across a variety of industries and backgrounds
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work duties to meet deadlines
  • Superior communications skills (presentation, written, and verbal) and demonstrated ability to communicate/present effectively at all levels of the organization including the C-suite
  • Skilled at problem-solving, decision making, negotiations, and ability to navigate challenging situations in a professional manner
  • Customer-focused, enthusiastic, positive and service-oriented
  • Intrinsically motivated, results-oriented, and able to work with minimal direction to achieve goals
  • Team player, enjoys working hard, exhibits professionalism, is dedicated to meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Ability to travel to customer locations (5-10%)
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

You will be rewarded with a Competitive base salary + Commissions with first year earnings ranging from $75,000-100,000, comprehensive benefits package including: 401k, medical, vision, and dental insurance, as well as commuter benefits, paid vacation, life and disability insurance.
