The Role

We are looking for a hardworking, tenacious individual who is passionate about research and data. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your research and analytical skills while fostering your career with a growing organization in a fun, dynamic and encouraging environment. The Lead Generation Specialist will identify and qualify new and existing prospects and accounts, with the goal of generating leads for the Sales department. You will work with the sales team as well as autonomously, researching IBISWorld verticals and new markets, mining data, and using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo and the internet to manage contacts and information. Other duties of the role include data entry and administrative work as it pertains to prospect management.

You will be responsible for:

  • Researching, identifying and penetrating new markets and verticals using sources such as LinkedIn, government websites, trade associations and more.
  • Researching, identifying and efficiently qualifying new prospects and key data points in those markets to craft viable leads for the Sales team.
  • Researching and qualifying existing leads in Salesforce.
  • Identifying incomplete accounts in Salesforce and entering the necessary information to complete them.
  • Ensuring contacts’ details are accurate up-to date.
  • Identifying different departments within organizations and reference them when updating new and existing contacts.
  • Staying well-informed of news and happenings in IBISWorld’s target verticals to identify emerging markets and potential leads in them.
  • Developing and staying current on knowledge of products, trends and competitors in target markets.
  • Data entry and administrative duties in line with prospect collection and management.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in research, analytics or sales a plus.
  • Experience in lead generation.
  • Experience in data mining and manipulation.
  • Experience in research and analysis.
  • Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

  • Interest in emerging markets a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize various responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to effectively take care of unexpected assignments and changes to workload based on management priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others, but also self-motivating and autonomous.
