The Role

The Sales Development Representatives (SDR) primary responsibility is to target and scope new potential clients across the whole Australian market in order to book webinars/meetings for Business Development Managers to consult on service solutions and bring prospects to deal fruition.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Research, identify and penetration of prospect accounts, markets and verticals both new and old through heavy ‘market mapping’ via various methods and tools such as: Linkedin, Google, industry associations etc.
  • Research, identify and efficiently qualify new prospects and key data points markets to generate quality appointments (webinars/meetings) for the New Business Team.
  • Achieve your sales quota by providing quality booked appointments to Business Development Consultants
  • Consistently achieve metric targets behind sales success and best practises
  • Manage data for prospective clients in Salesforce, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of products, trends and competitors in target markets
  • Monitor the evolving needs of IBISWorld’s core business verticals to identify business opportunity and risk and report back to management
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • A positive mental attitude
  • An ability to speak with prospects across a variety of industries and backgrounds
  • A degree in Business or Marketing related field will be viewed favourably
  • A basic understanding of selling principles
  • Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) preferred
  • Experience with LinkedIn
  • Adept attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills for pipeline management
  • Flexibility to effectively deal with unexpected assignments and changes to workload based on management priorities or client requests
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others, but also self-motivating and autonomous

There is a negotiable base salary between $45,000 - $60,000 based on experience plus generous uncapped commissions. For the right person the OTE for this role will be considerably higher depending on work ethic and subsequent success.
